This spatula features a handle around 16″ in length. The spatula itself is around 5″ long; giving you a reach of 21″. This keeps you away from the heat and with a tool strong enough to handle that distance. The heavy duty grill spatula handle is forged from 1/2″ mild steel and the spatula itself from 16 gauge steel. Handle is attached with rivets and won’t be coming apart in your lifetime. The rivets also add a nice rustic look as well.
The looped handle gives you a nice place to hang the spatula from on your grill.
Care Instructions
These are coated with a food safe finish. After use clean the utensil by hand washing. DO NOT place in a dishwasher. Dry the utensil by hand using a cloth. Periodically you should rub a light coating of oil (vegetable or canola are a few recommended options) on the utensil. Treat it like cast iron.
If you do get some surface rust, then you can use a non-abrasive scrubbing pad pad, or a wire brush if you have one, to clean off the rust. Afterwards rub a light coat of oil over everything.
If you follow these directions, then your utensil will last you a lifetime and more!
