This is my take on the classic turkey foot fire poker with a reimagined turkey foot (pointy bit). I wanted to give it a modern twist.
This style fire poker is great for moving wood around. You have the pointed tip to push and the claw to pull.
The fire poker is forged from 3/8″ solid steel and measures around 28″ in length which I find to be a perfect size for wood stoves and fireplaces.
The turkey foot is forge welded and not electrically welded on. Forge welding is the traditional blacksmith way to weld and it gives you a nice clean look without the ugly welding beads of modern welding.
