The adjustable trammel hook is forged from 1/4″ x 3/4″ solid steel with the adjustable hook being forged from 1/4″ steel. It’s capable of holding quite a bit of weight no worries about losing your food to the fire.
The hook is finished with beeswax to be food safe. You will want to keep it out of the weather as much as possible to avoid rusting. However, that shouldn’t be much of an issue once it gets used a few times. The metal will season and darken to give it protection from the weather.
