These heavy duty tent stakes are forged for strength to make sure whatever you’re staking down isn’t going to fly away on you. I forge these with 3/8″ solid steel. Not aluminum or some cheap metal alloy but steel. This gives them an unmatched durability compared to other tent stakes.
The square shape gives a the heavy duty tent stakes a better grip in the ground making them less likely to twist and pull out. Combined with a length of 11″ you’ll be able to drive these firmly into the ground securely; whether that’s hard-packed ground or loose soil. Bury these into the ground so only the rounded over top shows and your tent, canopy, etc. is not going anywhere. I use these stakes when I’m setting up my canopy tent for shows I vendor at when I’m worried about high winds and they haven’t let me down yet.
Tips of the heavy tent stakes are tapered to a blunted point. This will allow you to get them into the ground easily. The blunted tip also means if you hit a rock you’re not going to damage your stake.
Sold as a set of 6 stakes and they come without a finish on them; just bare steel. You’re welcomed to spray paint them if you like, however, driving them into the ground almost renders any finish pointless. So these will rust over time but it won’t impact their function. The rust is superficial surface rust. You won’t have to worry about rust eating through these for a very long time. Just wipe them down before you store them in a dry place and you won’t have to worry.
