Heavy Duty Grill Tongs

Who doesn’t like grilling? Who doesn’t need a set of heavy duty grill tongs that will outlast anything you buy in a store? These are far more robust compared to mass-produced tongs, allowing for a secure grip on food items without the risk of bending or breaking.

These heavy duty grill tongs tongs are made out of 1/2″ mild steel and are solid. The handles measure around 16″ in length allowing you to stay back from the grill and not burn your hands.

The spring is mild steel and attached with hand-forged rivets. These will hold up for years and years of use and abuse. If the tongs ever get out of alignment, or won’t open enough, you can gently bend them by grabbing at the opening (the grabby end) and twisting them to realign or pull them apart a bit to get a larger opening.

Spring design on these tongs will keep them in functional working order indefinitely. Unlike typical tongs you buy with a small wrapped spring in the handle where the spring either pops out or simply wears out, this spring is 3/4″ wide solid steel and won’t wear out in your lifetime.

The tapered design with simple twist on the grill tongs gives a simple, clean look and are comfortable to use. These just look great sitting on your grill.

The directions below will explain the general care for the tongs. Other than that, don’t leave the tongs outside. While they are coated for protection, leaving them outside in the weather for extended periods of time will cause rust. Bring the tongs in after use, follow the directions below, and your tongs will last you forever.

Care Instructions

These are coated with a food safe finish. After use clean the utensil by hand washing. DO NOT place in a dishwasher. Dry the utensil by hand using a cloth. Periodically you should rub a light coating of oil (vegetable or canola are a few recommended options) on the utensil. Treat it like cast iron.

If you do get some surface rust, then you can use a non-abrasive scrubbing pad pad, or a wire brush if you have one, to clean off the rust. Afterwards rub a light coat of oil over everything.
