I wanted to see if I could forge a Colonial style spatula and this is the first design I came up with. I’ve done others since but this one is the first and only of its kind.
Forged of solid steel so you know it’s going to last. It features a looped handle so you can hang it.
The length is around 12″ long. The spatula itself measures 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ so it’s on the small side but great for small pans. The flat handle gives you great control as well.
Care Instructions
These are coated with a food safe finish. After use clean the utensil by hand washing. DO NOT place in a dishwasher. Dry the utensil by hand using a cloth. Periodically you should rub a light coating of oil (vegetable or canola are a few recommended options) on the utensil. Treat it like cast iron.
If you do get some surface rust, then you can use a non-abrasive scrubbing pad pad, or a wire brush if you have one, to clean off the rust. Afterwards rub a light coat of oil over everything.
If you follow these directions, then your utensil will last you a lifetime and more!
You can get more thorough directions over here.

Thank you so much. I was looking for a keyhole spatula for colonial hearth events and this one is beautifully made, especially with the hook to hang it. This will be put to good use.
