Coffee Scoop

Coffee is a morning ritual for so many of us. With bleary eyes you scoop the coffee into the coffee maker, add water, and get your day started. Most people use the plastic scoop that comes with the coffee. It’s got a short handle and it’s disposable. Instead of disposable plastic why not upgrade your scoop to something rustic, durable, and able to help you get into the deepest depths of that coffee container?

Forged from solid steel and copper, this coffee scoop features a long handle that reaches deep into your coffee bag, guaranteeing every last bean or ground is accounted for. The overall length is around 8″ so plenty of length to deal with larger containers and bags of coffee. The handle is flat to give a nice comfortable feel and allow for a good grip.

The copper scoop features a hammered texture to add a bit of charm to the overall look. That scoop is secured with two copper rivets ensuring a strong attachment that’s not going to break on you. I’m a huge fan of traditional joinery in blacksmithing and I love using rivets for not only the strength they provide but also the look. Rivets and metal just looks amazing together.

There is a small fun twist that sits behind the scoop leading to the long handle. The overall look is simple and slender but with that strong rustic look that comes with anything hand-forged.

Another feature of anything hand-forged is quality and longevity. This scoop isn’t going to break on you or snap. It’s meant to last long enough that you can hand it down to the next generation and they to theirs. This isn’t plastic or cheap, thin metal that bends if you drop it. It is solid steel.
